Cars and trucks have long been the go-to cars for people who don’t need to drive them, but I’ve always wanted to be more creative in my car. I’ve been getting a lot of requests to make rims out of wood, but I’d never try that before. The first time I tried it, it was quite challenging, and I ended up just buying some new rims and a couple of wood parts.
I have to say that the wood rims and the wood parts it took me two weeks to find, and then two more weeks to actually build them. I did this because I wanted to be able to make rims for cars I had in mind, but I also wanted to get rid of the wood rims I had in the house for scrap, and get something new.
I don’t think I’m the only person to be doing this, but I do think this is the most common request I get. The first time I tried something like this, I ended up needing a lot of wood to get the right length.
I am not sure how people work out the rims and parts they are trying to build, but I am pretty sure they are all made of recycled wood. I have seen a few people doing this who have been able to salvage more than what they originally planned to use, and I am guessing that is where the majority of the wood comes from.
I have never built one myself, but I’ve built quite a few from my own collection of garage parts. The best part about this is that they are made from recycled wood which is not only eco-friendly but also just makes the whole endeavor that much simpler.
I’ll be the first to admit that these rims were made from wood. But they aren’t the wood they look like they are. I am not sure if the rims are simply cut from the same piece of wood that was used to make them, or if they are made of recycled parts. Either way, its a lot easier to reuse them than to try to create new ones from scratch. They are also made of recycled wood, which is an environmentally friendly choice.
